It was this time last year when I was doing my F/W Things To Love Series, so I wanted to do a bit of an update, and in case you want to read last year's feature, click here for the entire week-long series! Fall and winter are quickly approaching with the end of the summer sadly, so it's a fabulous idea to go ahead and grab those F/W pieces that will be sure to make your wardrobe rock this season!
First off is a parka! They were a favourite of people across the globe last fall, and they are sure to continue! For example, in Cara Delevingne new campaign with Topshop, she is wearing a fur hooded parka (which in my opinion are the best kind of parka because it keeps your ears warm and toasty all winter!) and she looks fabulous! Parka's are classic, and the green (if you're willing to shell out for a quality coat) is sure to impress and be a beautiful, timeless piece for your FW14 style.

Leather jackets are an eternal FW14, almost year round, essential. Leather jackets are a staple for every person because they really can tie an outfit together. If paired with the right clothes, you can be warm and toasty for hours. Who doesn't like that?
Graphic sweaters were big last year, especially ones like the Alexander Wang you can see below, and they're bolder than ever. People are wearing cutouts, mesh panels, and sheer inserts in order to be sexy, but still smart about the weather this year.
Leather coated jeans are big this year, as is everything leather that could go on your legs. Leather coated jeans or leather jeans in general can be really slimming if bought in the right texture, and if you're willing to splurge a bit, they can hold up and be amazing quality!

Boyfriend jeans are everyone's favourite thing this season and I actually just bought a new pair that I'm hoping to debut soon! They're comfy and come in so many different colors. Boyfriend jeans are a great transition piece and flatter every figure, which is a plus!

High neck tops don't always have to be turtleneck, and this year, polo necks are making a come back. High neck tops are super slimming for the neck and keep your neck all warm and cozy all season long!

Midi skirts are so classic that I'm ecstatic that they're still around for the new F/W season! Midi skirts are fabulous and eliminate so much of the struggle with wearing skirts, but aren't too long and look like maxi skirts! Midi skirts can transition from fall/winter business casual to the perfect night on the town look in a hot second, which makes them a great day-to-night piece.

Pointed toe heeled ankle boots. What can I say? These are sexy, classic, tasteful, and versatile. PTHAB, as I like to call them, are great for day-to-night and can be used in such a wide range of places that your fall/winter wardrobe would die without them!!!

Slip-ons were big last F/W and earlier this summer, but they are here to stay, so go ahead and grab yourself a pair if you don't already own a pair. These are already hitting the markets with such force and variety that they can go with just about anything and are perfect for all times of day! Bonus: they're mega-comfortable, so your feet can rest after wearing heels for so long in an attempt to look chic 24/7!

Military ankle boots. If you don't own a pair, buy some now. If you already own a pair, buy another pair. I just bought a pair from Target, and with the new military trend, it's obvious that these come in all designs and shapes! They're extremely versatile, like most ankle boots, and they hold up really well if you buy the right pair!
