Tech Tuesday: SafeTrek

I don't even know how I came across this app. I think I was on Tumblr and saw a signal boost and decided to try it out. Its not necessarily a helpful everyday app, but for someone like me, who loves to go walking or running alone, it could easily come in handy. Safetrek is an app that will immediately alert the police of your location if you do not respond to the padlock within 10 seconds of opening the app.
The Style Selections: Tech Tuesday: SafeTrek
I'm one of those lone runners who loves to go out on a Wednesday afternoon for a jog alone. Recently, there is a potential child abductor in our neighborhood approaching children, so this app is now coming in handy more than it would.
The app opens with a button that you just simply hold until you feel safe, and once you let go, you have 10 seconds to enter your 4 digit passcode before the police are alerted of your GPS location. I really think that in today's world you can never be too careful, so having an app like this is perfect for on the go safety.
You can download the app here for Apple and here for Android.
Be sure to let me know what kinds of apps you all want to see
