Firsts for Me: Fashion's Distinction

If you read my weekend preview last Friday, you would have seen that this weekend (or rather last weekend), I attended Fashion's Distinction, a new event held in Atlanta. I found the event on Eventbrite, (which has by the way become my go to for finding ANYTHING in this city.....its so hard to find things here, and there it is all in one!) and I signed up immediately. All of the boring details that lead up to me going you can find here, so now's onto all of the good stuff.....THE ACTUAL EVENT!!! Yay!

Being held on a Saturday meant that the day was hectic enough, but add onto that fact that it was the day before my AP Chemistry exam AND the day of one of my best friend's graduation party means that yes....it was a busy day!! But the event was so great that I can't complain!! As you know if you read my other post, I was one of the featured bloggers, along with a bloggers Taylor (who's fabulous style blog and styling services you can find here) and Lex (who's amazing entertainment blog you can find here)! Both girls are spectacular blogger (and incredibly nice) so you should take a look at their blogs and look at are (if I may say so myself) cute #blogger selfies we took during the event here.

Okay now back to the event. There was tons of sweets, and I think I had about 5-6 of the sweet little raspberry treats that you can see below. There was a chocolate company and a cupcake company (who made the treats below) and I had little samples from both and yum!!!

Jamberry, a nail sticker company, was there with a host of patterns and styles to redo nails this summer, and this summer, nail patterns are in, so I definitely say go get a pair from them or from your local Target!!

Ms. Gail Heller was also present at Fashion's Distinction to talk about her book Seely's Shoes, a murder mystery surrounding a woman and her future family in law. I didn't pick up a copy, but I looked it up on Amazon, and I may pick up a copy before I jet off this summer!

Most of the other stations consisted of clothes, makeup, and jewelry, but hey. At each different station, I was surprised and awed by the varieties and quality of all of the items. One makeup/nail station had handmade nail polishes that were amazing, and they also had this nifty lip balm that smelled amazing!! I tried a bit of the oil, that I was told smelled the same, and it was so LOVELY!!! New item on my what to buy list.

There was the fabulous singer Amadi Jae, who sang her song Dreams for us all. You can listen to it on her website here and find more about her and her fabulous curls!!! I had to take a picture of her shoes because they were awesome.

I met a super nice Stella & Dot stylist, Staci, who let Danielle (my friend/future blogger/photographer) and I try on some of the new Stella & Dot collection. She even set me up with a Stella and Dot party for my friends this weekend!! The collection is absolutely gorgeous, and take a look at some of my favourites as well as Danielle's.

Before Danielle and I had to pop out, I had my makeup done by the Lamik representative! I think she did a pretty banging job, don't you?

Because I was a blogger, I got this fab Glam Bag for attending and let me tell ya, it was filled with goodies!!! I had a hard time not opening it the second I got my hands on it, and I took loads of  pictures below so you can see what I got inside!

All in all, the event was amazing and I had SO much fun attending and meeting everyone!! If you're interested in attending, simply email info@fashionsdistinciton.com and RSVP for the next event!! It was a first for me attending an event, and being a featured blogger, but I hope to help out at more soon and be involved more in the Atlanta blogging/fashion community, so keep your eyes peeled for more!
