New (Shoe) Bits: Topshop Kapa Boots

I came across these shoes during the Topshop summer sale and I bought them immediately. Like no hesitation whatsoever. They were the last ones in my size, and I did what most rational sale shoppers do. I bought the shoes!

New Shoe Sunday

Wow its been forever since I've posted!! That's going to be my opening for a while now (hopefully not...) but I'm back and I'm bring fashion back to my style blog! I recently got 2 pairs of shoes, and I haven't posted anything about style in forever, so I thought I'd do my first Shoe Sunday! 

The most recent pair that I received were a pair of Topshop Arabels. Literally the last ones...anywhere. I bought them off of the Nordstrom's website after failing to get to the Topshop store in New York, and I'm

a) amazed I got them 

b) in love with them, to the point where I haven't taken them off for 3 days

c) glad I waited.

The shoes weren't on sale in New York as I later found out, but when I got home, I saw that there was one pair available in my size online, so I paid for them ASAP, especially since they were $60 cheaper than normal. The shoes are amazing and I can't rave about them enough. The buckle adds a nice accent to the simple black leather, and the leather is stiff enough that the shoes hold their shape, but not tio the point that I can't walk in them. The heel is low and comfortable, and they are great walking shoes after they're broken in. The only problem I have with them is the back strap, it digs in sometimes when walking, but a little pad on the back can fix that.

Its almost 2014, I know its almost that time now, so I picked out 13 of my top favourite clothing trends this entire year that managed to last through the year! I wrote a similar series of things that are good FW items and essentials a few weeks ago that you can read here, but I thought it'd be fun to talk about 13 of the trends that caught my eye this entire year!! F/W Things To Love ~ The Series: Boots and Things

So I thought that I would start my first style essentials series from the ground up, so what better way to start than shoes?! Anyone who knows me or has been following me on twitter/tumblr knows that I'm a bit of a shoeholic, so its not weird to think that ankle booties are a FAVOURITE and a necessary piece of my wardrobe this season!! Ankle boots are my favorite at the moment because the term is so general! It can mean anything from a pair of flat Doc Martens to a heeled pair of Topshop booties! 

Red, Suede, and Leather

I bought a pair of American Apparel Afrika print harem pants one day, and I've been DYING to wear them since I bought them over the summer!!! I took advantage of the cooling weather and decided to pop them out, along with a pair of shoes that I borrowed from my mom's closet!
