Once Upon A Time There Was a Prom Night in Atlanta...and it was Done Gatsby Style

It began with a box. A brown box with Rent The Runway stamped on it to be exact. I'd just gotten my nails prepped and I was ready to open the bow and see my prom dress. I'd tried it on once in the RTR shop in Bergdorfs in NYC, and trying this dress on was the reason I chose it! I had to wait 3 weeks until I actually saw the dress again, so picking shoes and jewelry was pretty blind, yet it turned out all to be perfect!! I love the inside of the box, and the phrase on the inside "The dress is just the beginning," because, yes, it really was. 

So as the title divulged, my Prom was Gatsby themed, like many of the proms this year were. The Rent the Runway had a great selection of things that were Gatsby themed, it was like a toy store!! I saw this Pop, Fizz, Clink! Kate Spade clutch and you would be surprised how fast it was on my order form. RTR was great about getting the dress here when I needed it, and their app assuaged my fears (and that of my mother) that the dress would not arrive in time, but no worries, IT DID!!! When I pulled it out of the box and slipped it on again, I remembered how much I loved it in the first place!! It was even more beautiful the second time I put it on!! RTR lets you get 2 sizes, just in case you're between sizes or don't know how certain designers fit, which is super helpful!!

I went shoe shopping the week before prom and got my Ivanka Trump shoes from Nordstrom (link at the bottom of the post), and some silver midi rings from H&M. 

Above you can see my dress in all of its glory!! It was beautiful and I was so sad to send it back!! But I had a great prom, great friends, and a great dress so everything went well!! My friends requested to be put on the blog (so demanding ha), and you can see little bits of their dresses above!! I think we make a pretty hot group don't you think??
